Terms and Conditions
Effective September 8, 2026. Last updated September 8, 2026.
These Terms and Conditions (the "Terms") are an agreement between you and LOAM Financial LLC, an Arizona limited liability company ("LOAM," "we," "us"), governing your use of loamfinancial.com and the LOAM application (together, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Please read section 10 (No financial advice), section 11 (Accuracy and automated analysis), and section 15 (Disclaimers and limitation of liability) carefully — they limit our obligations and your remedies.
Please note: LOAM has not yet opened to the public. These Terms govern your use of this website today and of the application when it becomes available.
1. The Service
LOAM analyzes transaction history from financial accounts you choose to connect and produces a periodic report identifying potential savings — recurring charges and subscriptions, credit card interest, overdraft and insufficient-funds fees, cash sitting idle in low-interest accounts, price increases, newly appearing charges, and changes since your previous report.
The Service is informational. LOAM does not move money, does not hold funds, does not open or close accounts on your behalf, and does not cancel subscriptions or negotiate with merchants for you. Acting on anything the report suggests is your decision, taken directly with your financial institution or the merchant.
2. Eligibility
To use the Service you must:
- be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract;
- reside in the United States; and
- be the owner of, or an authorized user of, every financial account you connect, and have the right to permit us to access its data.
3. Your account
You sign in with your email address — either with a one-time code we email you, or with Google Sign-In. You are responsible for keeping access to that email account secure, because access to it is access to LOAM. You agree to give us accurate information and to keep it current, and to tell us promptly at support@loamfinancial.com if you believe your account has been accessed without your authorization. One account is for one person; do not share it.
4. Connecting financial accounts
Financial account connections are made through Plaid Inc. ("Plaid"). By connecting an account, you:
- authorize LOAM and Plaid to access and retrieve information from that account on your behalf, for the purpose of providing the Service;
- agree to Plaid's terms and privacy policy, which govern Plaid's own collection and use of your information; and
- confirm you are authorized to grant that access for the account, and that doing so does not violate your agreement with your financial institution.
Your financial institution credentials are entered with Plaid or with your institution directly. LOAM does not receive or store them. You may disconnect any account at any time, which ends our access to it going forward. Institutions change how they permit access, and a connection may break or become unavailable for reasons outside our control; we will tell you when that happens, but we cannot guarantee that any particular institution or account remains connectable.
5. Subscriptions and billing
- Access to reports is sold as a subscription, offered on monthly and annual terms. Current pricing is shown before you purchase, and that displayed price, plus any applicable tax, is what you agree to pay.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing you authorize us, through Stripe, to charge your chosen payment method the subscription fee on a recurring basis.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period — monthly or annual — at the then-current price, until you cancel.
- If a payment fails, we may retry it and may suspend access to reports until payment succeeds.
- We may change prices. We will give you notice before a change takes effect for you, and the new price applies from your next billing period; if you do not agree, you may cancel before it takes effect.
- You are responsible for any taxes on your subscription other than taxes on our income.
6. Cancellation and refunds
You may cancel at any time from your account settings. Cancellation stops the next renewal; your access continues through the end of the period you have already paid for. Except where required by law, fees already paid are not refundable and we do not prorate partial periods. If you believe you were charged in error, write to support@loamfinancial.com — we would rather sort it out than argue about it.
7. Sponsored access
An organization may sponsor your access to LOAM and pay for an initial period. If so:
- you owe nothing for the sponsored period, and we will tell you clearly when it is ending and what continuing would cost;
- your access does not convert to a paid subscription automatically — continuing requires you to choose a plan and provide a payment method;
- the sponsoring organization can see your progress through onboarding, and can see limited summaries of your reports only if you give permission — this is described precisely in our Privacy Policy; and
- your agreement is with LOAM, not with the sponsor. The sponsor's own requirements — for example, completing a program — are between you and that organization.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- connect an account you do not own or are not authorized to access;
- use the Service for any unlawful purpose, or to violate anyone's rights;
- attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other users' data, or any related system, or probe, scan, or test its security without our written permission;
- scrape, crawl, or use automated means to access the Service, or resell, sublicense, or redistribute reports or other content from it;
- reverse engineer or attempt to derive the source code of the Service, except where that restriction is unenforceable by law;
- interfere with the Service's operation or place unreasonable load on it; or
- impersonate anyone, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or organization.
If you find a security vulnerability, we would like to hear from you. Please report it to support@loamfinancial.com and give us a reasonable opportunity to fix it before disclosing it.
9. Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, text, and the LOAM name and logo, belongs to LOAM or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property law. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service and to use your own reports for your own personal, non-commercial purposes.
Your data is yours. You grant us a license to host, process, and analyze the information you provide or authorize us to retrieve, solely to provide and improve the Service as described in the Privacy Policy. If you send us feedback or suggestions, you allow us to use them without obligation to you.
10. No financial advice
LOAM is not a financial advisor, investment advisor, broker-dealer, bank, tax advisor, or law firm, and nothing in the Service is financial, investment, tax, accounting, or legal advice. Reports are general informational analyses of your own data. They do not account for your full circumstances, and they are not a recommendation to buy, sell, hold, open, close, or move anything. Decisions about your money are yours; consider consulting a qualified professional before acting on them.
LOAM is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and reports are not consumer reports. Do not use the Service, or anything it produces, to make decisions about anyone's eligibility for credit, insurance, employment, housing, or any other benefit.
References to rates, products, or alternatives elsewhere in the market — for example a higher-yield account — are illustrative. We are not endorsing any provider, and we are not paid to mention one.
11. Accuracy and automated analysis
Reports are generated automatically, including with the help of artificial intelligence, from data supplied by your financial institutions through Plaid. That data may be incomplete, delayed, miscategorized, or wrong, and automated analysis can make mistakes — a charge may be misidentified as recurring, a fee may be missed, or a figure may be misattributed.
Always verify anything that matters against your own statements and with your financial institution before you act on it. We take accuracy seriously — every dollar figure in a report is computed by our software from your transactions rather than written by a language model, and findings are checked against the underlying transactions — but we do not warrant that a report is complete, accurate, or free of error, and any savings figure is an estimate, not a promise of a result.
12. Third-party services
The Service depends on third parties — including Plaid, your financial institutions, Stripe, Google, and our cloud and email providers. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms. We are not responsible for their acts or omissions, for their availability, or for the accuracy of the data they supply, and their interruption may interrupt the Service.
13. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect and how we use, share, and protect it. It is part of these Terms, and by using the Service you agree to it.
14. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if we are required to by law, if your payment fails, or if we reasonably believe it is necessary to protect the Service or other users. Where circumstances allow, we will give you notice and an opportunity to fix the problem.
We may also discontinue the Service, in whole or in part. If we discontinue a paid subscription service you have prepaid for, we will refund the unused portion.
Sections 9 through 20, and any payment obligation you have already incurred, survive termination.
15. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement, and we do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free, or that any result you obtain from it will be accurate or produce any particular saving.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, LOAM will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost savings, lost data, or loss of goodwill, arising out of or relating to the Service, whether based in contract, tort, or any other theory, even if we have been advised of the possibility.
Our total liability arising out of or relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) one hundred U.S. dollars ($100).
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or the limitation of certain damages. Where that is so, the above applies to the fullest extent permitted, and nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited — including for fraud, or for gross negligence or willful misconduct where the law so provides.
16. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless LOAM and its members, officers, and employees from any claim, loss, or expense (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your misuse of the Service, your breach of these Terms, your violation of law, or your connection of an account you were not authorized to connect.
17. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. We will change the "Last updated" date above, and for material changes we will give you notice — by email or in the application — before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after that date means you accept the updated Terms; if you do not, cancel and stop using the Service.
18. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You and LOAM agree that any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Maricopa County, Arizona, and you and we each consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts. Nothing here prevents either of us from seeking injunctive relief where appropriate, or you from bringing a qualifying claim in small claims court.
Before filing anything, please write to support@loamfinancial.com and give us thirty days to resolve it. Most problems are resolvable that way.
19. General
- Entire agreement. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and LOAM about the Service, and replace any prior understanding about it.
- Severability. If a provision is held unenforceable, the rest remains in effect and that provision is modified to the minimum extent needed to make it enforceable.
- No waiver. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it.
- Assignment. You may not assign these Terms without our written consent. We may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
- Force majeure. Neither party is liable for a failure to perform caused by events beyond its reasonable control.
- Notices. We may give you notice by email to the address on your account or by posting in the Service. Send notices to us at support@loamfinancial.com.
